JAPANESE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Japan as usual is center of attention once again when it comes to futuristic and geeky/nerdy stuff. The Japanese Institute of Science and Technology have come up with a racing game! A racing game you might be asking?!?! Yes… a racing game. This racing game is like any other racing game but with one VERY big difference. The vehicles hover, there is no engine, there are no wheels, there are in fact no moving parts… So how does this work? Without getting too technical we will just say that it involves liquid nitrogen and magnets, if used in the correct manner this will provide Quantum Levitation, it is the Quantum Levitation that has been harnessed in this racing game!

The science team at the Japanese Institute of Science and Technology has re created the famous and much loved racing game called WipeOut, they then fill the vehicles with liquid nitrogen to get the levitation effect and race the track. How cool is that!
